The first phase of PROMIS, Police Record and Office Management Information System has been completed

In it's first phase, 42 Jawans from 21 Police Stations took part in the training. The first phase comprises training of 152 Jawans from 76 stations and which would be completed by June 2011. Two Jawans from each of the 76 Thanas would participate in the training.

This project was owned by the Punjab Police during August 2010. A great help regarding finances has been provided by the Addl. IG Welfare & Finance Aftab Sultan to implement the project in Lahore district, and was supervised by the Addl. Director computers Ms. Shaheen Khalid.

The project initially started from five police stations of big three cities i.e Multan, Rawalpindi and Lahore and extended to 27 police stations of Sargodha, Sialkot, Faisalabad, Okara, Gujranwala and Jehlum.
