CPO BECOME PHQ
The name of Central Police Office has been changed and replaced with a new Police Headquarters (PHQ), Punjab within a few days, say official sources.
According to them, the Home Secretary has issued a notification (HP-III/3-9/2011) in this regard which has further been circulated in all the government institutions and police offices across the province.
Following special directives by the Punjab Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif, the IG Punjab Javed Iqbal has initiated this step. However, this is yet to witness the renaming of CPO to PHQ will also change the police strategy, criminal mindset of black sheep or the status quo, which persists in the police department and give positive results in future.
