CM for foolproof security on Eid Milad
Public holiday announced for Saturday
LAHORE: Chief Minister Mian Shahbaz Sharif has issued directions for foolproof security arrangements for Eid Miladun Nabi, saying that all the law enforcement agencies should remain on high alert on the occasion throughout the province.
THE Punjab government has announced public holiday on February 4 (Saturday) on the occasion of Eid Miladun Nabi in the province.
It may be mentioned that Eid Miladun Nabi is falling on Sunday, February 5. The chief minister presided over a meeting held for reviewing security arrangements on Eid Miladun Nabi at Chief Minister’s Secretariat here Thursday.
The Meeting was attended by Provincial Minister for Law Rana Sanaullah Khan Minister for Auqaf Ehsanuddin Qureshi, MPA’s Chief Secretary, Home Secretary and senior officer concerned.
Addressing the meeting, the CM directed for setting up a subcommittee for reviewing the security arrangements. The chief minister said that elected representatives, Home Secretary and Inspector General Police should visit various districts, hold meetings with Ulema and review security arrangements there.
Shahbaz sharif said that best illumination arrangements be made on the Eid Miladun Nabi processions routes through out the province and generators should also be provided for this purpose.
Earlier, Home Secretary and officers concerned while briefings regarding security arrangements said all arrangements had been completed.
