According to a notification of Government of Punjab, Rai Muhammad Tahir has been appointed as DIG Operations, Lahore.
21st common police officer joined Police Service of Pakistan as ASP in 1993. During his service he served in various cities of Sindh like Haiderabad and Karachi. As Addl: SP he performed his duties in Sheikhupura. He also remained DPO Muzaffargargh, Rahim Yar Khan and Sheikhupura.
Rai Muhammad Tahir did B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from U.E.T, Lahore. He also got LL.M Degree in Criminal Litigation from City Law School, London. He also did LL.B from SM Law College, Karachi. Rai Muhammad Tahir also got bacholers degree from Punjab University.
Rai Muhammad Tahir is considered to be one of the most honest and dutiful officer of Police Department.
