Inspector General of Police Punjab Distributed Cash Awards

Inspector General of Police Punjab Javed Iqbal distributed cash awards worth Rs. 31 lac and Commendatory Certificates amongst 75 police officers/officials who participated to arrest the hardened Proclaimed Offenders across the province.

A special ceremony, in order to acknowledge the tremendous service of 75 police officers/officials of 8 different districts included Lahore , Faisalabad , Jehlum, Jhang, Gujrat, Sialkot , Sahiwal and Lodhran, was held at Central Police Office here today.

While addressing the ceremony, the Provincial Police Chief lauded the act of bravery and courage, demonstrated by the said police officers/officials in connection with the arrest of hardened POs.

He expressed the hope that they would continue to perform their duties with zest and zeal for elimination of heinous crimes and maintenance of law & order in the province and would ensure complete sense of security to the citizens. Javed Iqbal said that policing was a sacred and noble task by dint of which we can achieve the blessings of Allah and confidence of people by providing justice to the oppressed people.

The IG observed that police department remains engaged in the protection of life and property of the people round the clock and faces of more risks and challenges as compared to other Government Departments in the line of their duties.

The IG police exhorted the policemen to perform their duties without any greed, fear and serve the people with full dedication so that the police force could enjoy the full confidence of the society. Addl. IG Punjab Oprs Rafiq Hasan, Addl. IG Investigation Azam Joiya, DIG police Crime Ayub Qureshi and DIG police investigation were also present on this occasion.
