Police secure kidnapped child’s release
RAHIM YAR KHAN - The police claimed to have recover a boy kidnapped for ransom and arrested two kidnappers here on Saturday.
District Police Officer (DPO) Sohail Habib Tajik told a press conference that eight-year-old Aliaan Jabbar was kidnapped from Chak 140/P on July 3, when he was playing outside his house. The DPo said that the parents of Aliaan Jabbar registered a case with the Sadiqabad Manthar Police of the incident.
The police launched an in-depth investigation and monitored a cell phone number from which a call of Rs5 million ransom fro the release of the child was made. The police ferreted out the data of the cell number and traced the accused who were their relatives - Akash Raza, Waqas Raza and Munir Ahmed.
The DPO claimed that the police carried out a raid at the hideout of the culprits in Kacha Razi area in the Bhong Police precincts on July 23. He said that during the raid the police secured the release of Aliaan Jabbar and arrested Waqas Raza and Munir Ahmed. Sohail Tajik said that three accused succeeded in fleeing the scene.
